Florida woman named co-chair of Obama re-election campaign

The Obama campaign today named 35 campaign co-chairs -- elected officials and others whom the campaign says will serve as ambassadors for the president, advising the campaign and mobilizing voters. They include Lynnette Acosta, an Obama for America volunteer leader from Florida, along with Hollywood stars such as Eva Longoria and political stars such as Caroline Kennedy. Full list here

"The President's National Co-Chairs will be tremendous assets on the ground as we build the biggest grassroots campaign in history," said Jim Messina, Obama for America Campaign Manager. "They each share the President’s vision for a future where every American can have a fair shot at success, where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded."
